When initial reports came in that Peel Regional Police had to break a car window to rescue a child from temperatures even more severe that the 30°C temperatures outside, it was hard not to feel your heart turn to stone. Children left in cars die, on average, 38 times per year in the U.S., and about once a year in Canada.
